Piirialade koostöö konverents

Euregio Pskov-Livonia Eesti sektsioon korraldas 26.-27.04. Narva-Jõesuus hotellis „Meresuu“
piirialade koostöö konverentsi. Osalesid Pihkva oblasti Pihkva rajooni, kuue Läti ja nelja Eesti omavalitsuse esindajad.
Konverentsi tulemusena töötati välja koostöö peamised eesmärgid aastateks 2018-2025:
-suurendada inimestevahelist suhtlemist piirialadel (Euroregiooni Päev kaks korda aastas, temaatiline)
-kohalike omavalitsuste, erinevate ühingute tihedam koostöö
-Euroregiooni staatuse tõstmine
-kultuurivahetus
-turism
-õpilasvahetus, noorte sport
-väikeprojektide käivitamise võimaluste otsimine
Koostöö hõlmab piirialasid Lõuna-Eestis (Põlvamaa, Valgamaa, Võrumaa), Kirde Lätis ( 8 omavalitsust) ja Pihkva oblastis (Pihkva linn ja 6 rajooni).
